The Role of1st Team SoftTissueTherapist
Brentford Football Clubis enjoying the most exciting period in its history and werelooking for an accomplished SoftTissue Therapist tojoin our team.
Workingwithin the Medical Department alongside a multidisciplinary team ofpractitioners this individual will be responsible for the deliveryof outstanding softtissue therapy and associated modalities to our1st Teamandhigh potential senior Academy players. In addition theywill support in the development and delivery of relevant recoverymodalities for the club.
The successful candidatewill be predominantly based at Jersey Road working with othermembers of Medical and Performancestaff;however there may be a need for thisindividual to travel to some home and away games plus UK/overseastours with our squads.
We are looking for aproactive individual with a forwardthinking and problemsolvingattitude and who seeks to utilise their skills and experience toraise the levels of support offered to ourplayers.
MainAccountabilities
* Toensure that any concerns you observe or are raised with you in yourrole are shared with the Safeguarding Team through appropriatechannels.
TrainingGround
* Support in thedelivery of softtissue therapy to 1stTeam andhighpotentialsenior Academyplayers.
* Support doctors and physiotherapistsin providing elite level injury prevention and rehabilitationtreatments as required.
* Take a proactive rolein the investigation and delivery ofplayers recovery modalitiesboth on an individualised and squadbasedlevel.
* Support in the upkeep of the trainingground medical treatment space including replenishment ofconsumables.
* Support in the maintenance andmanagement of stockand equipment including ordering of all medicalsupplies though key medical suppliers.
Matchdays
* Provideprematch softtissue therapy to 1stTeam squad players asdirected.
* Stay overnight at the team hotel onthe evening prior to 1st Teammatches and provide softtissue therapyto players as required.
* Support in ensuringthat all equipment and consumables required for matches are checkedmaintained/ordered and packed.
* Take an activerole in postmatch optimal recovery modalities for 1st Team playersas needed.
* Take a lead role in the prematchsetup of medical equipment at stadiums/venues asneeded.
Tours/TrainingCamps
* Providesofttissue therapy to 1st Team andhigh potentialsenior Academyplayers on all UK and overseas tours.
* Take anactive role in the provision of optimal recovery modalities forboth training matches and travel whilst ontour.
* Support in ensuring that all equipmentand consumables required for tours/camps are checkedmaintained/ordered andpacked.
General MedicalDeptAccountabilities
* Maintainup to date treatment records using the Kitman Labs/PMA medicalrecords system.
* Ensureindividual qualifications training and CPD requirements are kept upto date and in line with any applicableregulations.
* Uphold the highest levels ofvigilance with regards to crosscontamination betweenplayers of equipment andconsumables.
ContinuedProfessionalDevelopment
* Takeresponsibility for personal continued professional development(CPD) and keep an uptodate portfolio of achievements.
* Take an active role in delivering regulardepartmental CPD sessionsfor full andparttime medicalstaff.
General ClubAccountabilities
* Toensure compliance with all relevant Club policies including healthand safety policies and with specific reference to the dataregulations.
