About the Role
Are you ready to lead with compassion, resilience, and purpose? Do you believe that every child deserves safety, love, and a future full of possibility?
We’re seeking a Children’s Home Manager to oversee two small, nurturing 2-bedded homes supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). These homes are safe, supportive spaces where trust is built, voices are heard, and healing begins.
What We Offer:
* The chance to shape two homes from the inside out—building teams, routines, culture, and belonging.
* A leadership role where your emotional intelligence is your greatest asset—leading by example, inspiring staff, and supporting young people.
* Support from a values-driven leadership team prioritizing child-centred practice.
* Tailored training, clinical input, and development pathways to grow leaders and support children.
What We’re Looking For:
* A leader who understands that behaviour is communication and listens beyond the noise.
* Diploma three in Residential Child Care.
* Experience in residential childcare, preferably with a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it).
* A calm, confident presence—able to handle emotions and bring structure with humanity.
* A commitment to trauma-informed practice and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and motivating a team to provide excellent care for children and young people, with assistance from two assistant managers.
* Ensuring safeguarding, regulatory, and service standards are met.
* Building supportive relationships with children and young people to help them reach their potential.
* Collaborating with multi-agency teams to develop support plans.
* Managing resources to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
You will join a supportive, experienced team of managers within our Children's residential service, whose homes are rated Good or Outstanding.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Management or supervisory experience.
* Recent experience in children’s residential or supported accommodation roles.
* Experience handling conflict and managing sensitive issues positively.
* The ability to lead, celebrate success, and improve performance.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards is essential.
Why This Role Matters:
Our young people need advocates, role models, and champions. Your role will create meaningful relationships and environments where these moments matter—every day.
