About the role
We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Safety Administrator to join Imperial's Safety Department. This is a key support role that contributes to the smooth running of departmental operations and the delivery of safety training across the College. You will work closely with the Safety Office Manager and Safety Training Coordinator to help maintain a safe and compliant working environment for staff, students, and visitors.
What you would be doing
As Safety Administrator, you will:
* Provide daily administrative support to the Safety Office Manager and other members of the Safety Department
* Support the planning and delivery of safety training programmes, including scheduling, materials preparation, and record-keeping
* Support the use of the CoreStream Safety Reporting system, including incident triage and data reporting
* Act as a first point of contact for general departmental enquiries; manage the Safety Department mailbox and assist with filing and allocation of queries.
* Support the organisation of departmental meetings, training sessions, and team events.
* Support HR related activities
* Maintain departmental documentation and webpages
* Support the management of the Safety Department office area.
* Any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post as directed by line manager

* Previous administrative experience
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Confident using Microsoft Office and other digital systems
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Interest in safety, science, or compliance
