We're working with a fantastic specialist school in the Wolverhampton area that caters for students aged 11–19 with a range of additional learning needs, including moderate learning difficulties (MLD), ASD, and associated behavioural and communication needs.

You’ll be leading a small class of pupils, planning and delivering a tailored curriculum that supports both academic and life skills development. The school places a strong emphasis on preparation for adulthood, independent living, and vocational learning – so creativity, adaptability, and a nurturing approach are key.
✅ What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
*
Experience working with pupils with MLD, ASD, or complex needs (either in mainstream with SEN responsibilities or a specialist setting)
*
A flexible and person-centred teaching style
*
Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
*
Confidence in using strategies to support communication and emotional regulation
💡 Desirable:
*
Experience with ASD strategies such as PECS, Makaton, TEACCH
*
Knowledge of EHCP implementation
*
A background in teaching life skills, PSHE, or vocational subjects is highly beneficial
