Overview
Our client, a global medical device manufacturer, is looking to recruit for an experienced electrically biased Maintenance Engineer. The site is state of the art and there is potential to move onto shifts (25% uplift), making this a perfect role for someone looking to move into a GMP facility from a BRC/FMCG background, or for people looking to further their career with an established medical devices company.
Responsibilities
* Respond quickly to Maintenance support on manufacturing equipment to achieve production output standards.
* Support environmental and utilities systems at the manufacturing facility.
* Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring asset uptime, first‑time fix and quality workmanship.
* Actively contribute to the development of departmental processes and procedures.
* Lead maintenance activities in areas of responsibility, including breakdown support and improvement work.
* Support a continuous improvement culture that develops factory assets, procedures, processes and systems.
* Comply with planned maintenance/calibration regimes, ensuring work is completed and recorded in a timely manner within the CMMS.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding equipment status, breakdown support and engineering requirements within operational areas.
* Adhere to site Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and standards, maintaining safe working conditions.
Qualifications
* Hold an HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a Pharmaceutical, Chemical, FMCG, or Food setting is essential.
* Ideal candidate will hold additional electrical qualifications.
* Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills (electrical with some mechanical).
* Proficient in IT / Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as a team player.
