Chief Accountabilities & Responsibilities
1. Laboratory work: Plan and carry out experiments and analysis, as outlined by the project lead, to ensure effective technology transfer and development of fit-for-purpose processes in line with customer requirements. Record all laboratory work in standard official notebooks and compile results and observations for incorporation into technical reports. Adhere to the relevant procedures. Communicate with clients (as required) in a professional manner.
2. Quality: Follow laboratory procedures to ensure that the work is carried out safely, effectively, and to an appropriate quality standard. Follow protocols and procedures.
3. Manufacturing Support: Communicate with other technical personnel in PDev, ADev, QC, and manufacturing to exchange information and results necessary for progressing development work. Support first-time manufacturing operations, troubleshoot scaled-up processes, and provide first-line technical support.
4. Housekeeping / ESH: Ensure the development laboratory and associated areas are maintained in a controlled and compliant manner. Maintain safety and hygiene standards. Comply with COSHH and risk assessments.
5. Training: Provide on-the-job training to new or inexperienced personnel in laboratory procedures and equipment use.

2. Ensure accuracy of raw data and analytical interpretations.
3. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost control, and safety/development performance.
Key Result Areas & Measures (Quantitative/KPI/Qualitative)
1. Contribute experimental effort for development projects and assist the project lead in data collation for presentation and reporting.
2. Work within the operational and ESH guidelines of the company.
3. Apply protein modification and conjugation chemistry techniques.
4. Possess background knowledge in organic chemistry.
