We have a fantastic opportunity to join the team in Derby as Warehouse Manager. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this is a key leadership role on site, as such it will be one of the first.
Your initial focus will be a journey of discovery. Working alongside our automation providers and in-house systems team to develop knowledge of how the site is to operate. Secondly, you will recruit your wider team who will start the journey of opening up our new purpose-built frozen facility in early 2026.
This initiative is a key part of our growth strategy, aimed at expanding our supply chain to meet the needs of our growing number of shops across the UK.

About the role
* This is a full-time role; flexibility will be considered
* We promote work-life balance and flexible working arrangements where possible
* The base location is Derby Smartparc, DE21 7BS. Ideally, you’ll live within an hour’s travel
What you'll do
* Recruit and develop the operational Warehouse team
* Coordinate with automation partners during commissioning to operational status
* Embed the Greggs culture to ensure team alignment and success
* Maintain customer service focus through regular reviews and improvements
* Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met daily
* Manage budget and control costs within your area
* Develop and implement policies and procedures
* Conduct performance reviews, set targets, and support team development
* Lead with visibility, fostering a culture of achievement and responsibility
About you
