Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification The main role of this position is to manage all activities, operations, governance and performance of the services that operate on a daily basis at the Fountain Centre, the health and wellbeing hub, creative arts room, oncology wards and online. To ensure patients have timely access to support and appropriate information. The post holder will manage the administrator, coordinator/navigator, therapy staff and a large team of volunteers and will be responsible for the coordinated delivery of the centres day to day management ensuring that there is appropriate level of clinical expertise at all times. The post holder will work closely and collaboratively with other Fountain Centre service leads, the Royal Surrey Cancer Centre multidisciplinary teams, and wider partners to ensure our services are well integrated, inclusive and responsive to patient need. The role will demand a high level of flexibility, emotional resilience and the ability to work within a highly challenging field. The post holder must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and have an excellent understanding of cancer care and support services. We are looking for a registered healthcare professional (for example nursing, AHP, counselling/psychology or similar), with: Significant experience of working in cancer care or palliative care Experience of leading or managing services or projects in a healthcare or charity setting A strong interest in wellbeing support, holistic care and complementary therapies Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills Strong organisational, IT and data skills, with the ability to oversee safe and effective service delivery This is a Band 8a role. However, we welcome applications from suitably experienced Band 7 professionals who are looking for a development opportunity, and we can offer support and development towards the full Band 8a role.
