Job Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:Budgeting and Forecasting

3. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategic objectives.
4. Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
5. Support scenario planning to evaluate potential financial outcomes under different business conditions.
6. Develop and maintain financial models to support long-term strategic planning.

Strategic Analysis

7. Evaluate company and market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering insights to senior management.
8. Conduct detailed financial modelling and analysis to support new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
9. Partner with senior stakeholders to assess margin-enhancing opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.

M&A

10. Assist in assessing the financial forecasts of acquisition targets
11. Create flexible financial models to support the acquisition process
12. Assist in post-acquisition performance tracking, measuring the financial success of the business, and identifying commercial risks and areas for improvement.

Performance Reporting and KPI Monitoring

13. Work closely with the Reporting Management team who produce financial management accounts, to support with analysis of financial and operational metrics.
14. Develop and seek opportunities to automate monthly reporting and information analysis process, to ensure business data is exit-ready.
15. Develop dashboards and visualisations to provide real-time performance insights to decision-makers.
16. Drive continuous improvement of FP&A tools and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

The Successful Applicant

A successful FP&A Analyst should have:

17. Proven exp in financial planning and analysis within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
18. Strong knowledge of finance business partnering practices.
19. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
20. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and reporting tools.
21. Relevant professional qualification in accounting or finance.
22. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
23. Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
