Nursery Deputy Manager We are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our friendly and supportive nursery team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated early years professional to play a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality care and education for young children. Hours & Salary Full-time: 4.5 days per week (42 hours) Alternative option: 4 days per week (37 hours) considered Working hours: 8:00am 6:00pm (half-day shifts 8:00am1:00pm or 1:00pm6:00pm) About the Role As Deputy Manager, you will support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. You will also help lead the team, maintain high standards of practice, and support staff development. Key Responsibilities Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the setting Ensure high standards of safeguarding, care, and education Lead and support staff in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers Assist with planning, observations, and learning assessments Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and nursery policies Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment About You Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education (essential) Previous experience working in an early years setting (deputy or senior practitioner experience desirable) Strong leadership and communication skills Passionate about early childhood development Reliable, organised, and committed to high-quality childcare Good understanding of safeguarding and EYFS requirements
