An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment within the Financial Advice Quality Assurance (FAQA) Team for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist. You will be joining the Quality Assurance team within Money business, consisting of 1 senior and 9 specialists and 2 subject matter experts. You can expect to liaise with financial advisers providing them with vital feedback in a timely manner including financial planning team and the customer experience team. Our core role is to ensure the quality of the financial advice journey is outstanding and ensure we are adhering to FCA regulations and internal processes.

What Will You Be Doing?
Quality assurance is about putting the customer at the heart of each check you carry out, ensuring we meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements and protect the Society. The team are responsible for ensuring key processes are followed correctly within Financial Advice, relating to the onboarding process and complaints decisions.
You’ll be:
* Ensuring that customers receive fair treatment that is aligned to the Society’s approach
* Carrying out checks on Financial Advice provided to our members, assessing accuracy and quality
* Assessing adherence to processes within FA onboarding and complaints
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders
* Identifying trends and suggesting improvements whilst effectively managing risk appetite
What Do We Need From You?
As a Senior QA Specialist, you’ll play a key role in driving consistently high-quality advice standards across the Society. To thrive in this role, you’ll bring both strong technical expertise and the confidence to influence, support, and constructively challenge others.
You’ll need to hold a Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. We may also consider those who are part qualified, aligned to our progression scheme.
* Deep technical expertise in Financial Advice processes, policies, and FCA requirements – including Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty. With the ability to confidently assess and evaluate advice against these standards
* Strong communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. You will need to be comfortable challenging, delivering balanced and evidence based feedback, and adapting your approach to suit different stakeholders
* Ability to provide coaching and feedback to colleagues, helping them to develop and build confidence, to achieve full competence
* Meticulous attention to detail, able to absorb, interpret and clearly articulate complex information
* Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities and deliver work within agreed timeframes
* Flexible and adaptable – responsibilities can vary throughout the month, you’ll need to work as a team to ensure all aspects are covered and move between different tasks
