As Hospital Director for Practice Plus Group Hospital Southampton, you will provide highly visible and inspiring leadership for all staff throughout the Hospital, championing a professional and open culture which empowers staff to consistently deliver high quality care with compassion. Supporting a multi-skilled, multi-disciplined and diverse workforce to work as a cohesive operational group delivering first class treatments to patients.
What you'll be doing
You will be the most senior leader of the management team and will provide the operational leadership towards delivering safe, efficient and reliable patient care to ensure that the standards set out within the contract are achieved and that the operational team works towards continuous quality improvement.
Reporting to the Operations Director, key responsibilities will include setting and delivering annual plans from an operational, clinical and financial perspective, driving continuous improvement and improving efficiency, and motivating and leading a high performing team. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the wider development and implementation of Practice Plus Group’s key objectives to deliver services that promote optimum patient care, ensure efficient use of resources and promote a culture that is progressive and inclusive.
You will be a highly visible leader ensuring staff receive timely and regular communications as well as being involved and engaged in the delivery of clinical services. Ensuring the continuous improvement of high quality, innovative care. You will lead the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with commissioner contractual requirements that includes ensuring compliance with all Statutory and Regulatory legislation and expectation within the agreed budget. Developing and implementing a business growth strategy that incorporates Private Healthcare, whilst ensuring that the Hospital is an integral part of the local NHS system by partnering with ICB.
What we'll look for in you
* Significant senior hospital management experience in the NHS or independent sector
* Proven leadership of elective surgical services and large, multi‑disciplinary teams
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing complex budgets and delivering EBITDA
* A track record of service development, quality improvement and transformation
* Confident, credible and resilient leadership style with excellent communication skills
* Sound knowledge of clinical governance, regulation and healthcare systems
* A visible commitment to patient experience, staff engagement and continuous improvement.
