The Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide English language support for pupils who are new to English. The successful candidate will work with pupils in small groups and one-to-one sessions to help develop their communication skills, confidence, and understanding of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver English language learning support to pupils who speak Persian, Dari, and Farsi
* Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing key vocabulary
* Work with teachers to plan and deliver targeted interventions
* Build positive relationships with pupils and families and help them feel safe, confident, and included
* Assist in monitoring progress and maintaining clear records
* Provide in-class support as needed across the school
* Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Speaks Persian, Dari, Farsi and English fluently
* Has experience supporting children or delivering language instruction (school setting preferred but not essential)
* Is patient, encouraging, and able to adapt learning to individual needs
* Has strong communication skills in both English and the listed languages
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Works well as part of a collaborative team
