Requirements
* Excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
* Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
* Maintain good relationships with customers
* Communicate confidently and politely with customers and colleagues
* Good telephone manner
* Confidence to deal with occasional exposure to challenging requests from hauliers/customers.
* Self-motivated, flexible approach to work; disciplined, organised
* Some knowledge of the container industry
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrable experience of working with customers
* Work effectively in a team environment
* Shift Pattern : Week 1, 6am to 11am, then the following week 2pm to 7pm, plus every 3rd Saturday
Main Duties
* Support the Operations Manager/Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the container yard and ensuring adherence to Company policies
* To act as first point of contact for hauliers and customers arriving at the depot whilst being responsible for the accurate input of data relating to bookings
* To correspond with operational staff, equipment drivers, and the depot supervisors in relation to carrying out containerli>
* Assist with ensuring that all the site operations are carried out in accordance with the requirements of all statutory legislation and Companyli>
* Send out daily stock acceptances.
* Handle large quantity of emails.
* Handle VBS enquiries
* Promote a positive safety culture throughout the team and promptly report any accidents, incidents or near misses.
* Any other duties as required from time to time by the Company
