We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Account Executive to join our Southend team.
You will take ownership of an existing portfolio of commercial clients, maintaining strong relationships while actively developing opportunities to grow and expand the book. You will also be supported to generate new business, making a measurable impact on the team’s growth and success.
This is a role for someone who thrives on client interaction, commercial challenge, and measurable results, with a clear progression pathway towards Account Director.
What you\u2019ll be doing
* Manage and develop relationships with clients across an allocated portfolio.
* Provide professional insurance advice aligned with client risk and commercial priorities.
* Lead renewal discussions and ensure high client retention.
* Identify and drive opportunities for portfolio growth and cross-selling.
* Generate new business through networking, referrals, and proactive prospecting.
* Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and tailored solutions.
* Collaborate closely with Broking Operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.
What We\u2019re Looking For
* Proven experience in commercial insurance account management, client servicing or sales.
* Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market practices.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and grow client relationships.
* Proven track record of developing new business.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Experience using broking platforms such as Acturis.
* Progress towards, or completion of, insurance qualifications such as Cert CII or Dip CII.
