We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join the team at Dowlow Quarry, Buxton, Derbyshire. The successful candidate will effectively carry out all duties associated with the efficient operation of the weighbridge. Key Responsibilities Control the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitors Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicing Directing goods inwards to correct stockpile/location Record time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to site Ensure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstations. Following training, undertaking a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site manager Skills, Knowledge And Expertise Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be liaising with a range of contacts and customers on the telephone and in person. Confidence to control the entry to site of customers, lorries and visitors Organised and analytical in order to successfully operate the weighbridge computer package Good numeracy skills are required for quick and accurate data processing. Previous experience in this type of role would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided for the right candidate Working with all members of the team to continually raise the Health, Safety and Environmental standards of the Company.
