Job Introduction
We’re seeking a Content Producer for BBC Radio Wales, involved in diverse programming including religion, science, and arts. BBC Radio Wales is dedicated to creating engaging content that reflects Welsh life and culture, aiming to surprise and delight our audience daily.
Main Responsibilities
* Devise, plan, and produce digital and audio content for Radio Wales and the BBC network, including religious programming
* Generate imaginative programme ideas across various formats, managing projects from conception to completion
* Identify stories and content that resonate with audiences, with awareness of Wales’s social and political context
* Experience in live studio production, directing presenters, and ensuring content meets high standards across digital platforms
* Knowledge of news, current affairs, Welsh culture, theology, Christian music, hymns, and worship music
Candidate Requirements
* Understanding of Editorial Guidelines for live and pre-recorded radio across genres
* Experience in radio production, outside broadcasts, and overseeing technical processes
* Strong knowledge of theology and major world faiths
* Journalistic skills, critical thinking, and confident questioning
* Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
