Role: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: Stratford-upon-Avon – Hybrid/Remote Contract Length: 3 Months +Start Date: ASAPRate: £40.00 to £50.00 per hour – Outside IR35We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of high-quality engineered products used within a safety critical environment.This role will focus on the design and development of High Pressure Die Cast (HPDC) components, working closely with a small cross-functional team to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.Key Responsibilities
* Mechanical design and development of components and assemblies
* Design of High Pressure Die Cast (HPDC) products
* Producing detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor
* Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
* Designing for hazardous area environments, considering certification requirements
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
* Strong experience designing HPDC components
* Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor
* Experience working with hazardous area standards such as ATEX, IECEx, CEC, or NEC is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of manufacturability and engineering best practices
