Pay: £90-£130 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-managed specialist SEND school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with SEMH and complex behavioural needs from January 2026.
This full-time, long-term position is ideal for an experienced practitioner who can provide structure, consistency, and positive behaviour support within a nurturing and supportive school environment.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support for pupils with SEMH needs
Support pupils in managing behaviour, emotions, and social interactions
Implement behaviour strategies, risk assessments, and personalised support plans
Use Team Teach techniques to safely de-escalate challenging behaviour
Promote positive engagement with learning and daily routines
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Act as a positive role model, offering clear boundaries, consistency, and encouragement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Proven experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
Team Teach training and practical experience (essential)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
