Expert Witness Opportunity for Occupational Therapists
£45/hr | £80/hr Travel | £90/hr Tribunal | £0.55/mile**
We are expanding our panel of Occupational Therapist Expert Witnesses and are seeking highly experienced OTs with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent analytical skills. Ideal OT Expert Witness ProfileProfessional Background
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with 10+ years' experience in clinical practice and/or case management.
* Strong background in:
* Polytrauma
* Orthopaedics
* Amputees
* Brain injury
* Spinal cord injury
* Paediatric brain & spinal injuries
* Experience working as a Case Manager or independent practitioner is highly desirable.
Specialist Skills
* Skilled in costing care packages across statutory and private sectors.
* Strong understanding of rehabilitation, long‐term support needs, care planning and care costs.
* Confident assessing complex needs and projecting future care requirements.
Expert Witness Competencies
* May already have experience writing independent expert witness reports (not essential).
* Understanding of court‐compliant reporting standards, deadlines and professional duties.
* Ability to produce clear, structured, defensible reports.
Employment Requirements
* Self‐employed OT (cannot work for another expert witness company).
* Able to commit one day per week to expert witness work.
* Capacity to complete a minimum of 6 reports per year.
* Willing to travel for assessments.
* Based in England, ideally with good transport links.
