Your new role
As a Payroll Officer, you’ll manage your own portfolio of clients withplex payroll needs. You’ll be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll, handling statutory payments, liaising with HMRC, and providing first-line support for payroll queries. This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, hours per week) with no hybrid or remote working.
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll ideally bring:
1. Experience working in a busy payroll function (2–3 years preferred, but training can be provided).
2. Strong numeracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
3. Excellentmunication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Confidence in handling confidential information.
5. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above).
6. A payroll qualification ( CIPP) is desirable but not essential.
You’ll also need a good understanding of payroll software and UK labour regulations, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
