CAD Draughtsman / AutoCAD Technician – Construction

We are working in partnership with a well-established client who is currently looking to appoint an experienced CAD Technician with AutoCAD expertise. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team involved in delivering a range of construction and infrastructure projects.
As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate 2D technical drawings to support the design and delivery of projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce high-quality 2D CAD drawings for construction projects
2. Interpret technical information from engineers, architects, and surveyors to create accurate drawings.
3. Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings, revisions, and drawing updates throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Liaise with internal design teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination.
5. Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
6. Previous experience in a CAD Technician role ideally within a construction or civil engineering environment.
7. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D).
8. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
9. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
