Overview
We are a multi award-winning Charity that invests all profits back into the people we support, our workforce and our local communities. This role is a part-time Support Worker position in East Kilbride. Shifts are Monday-Saturday with specific times noted in the job details. A UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
Responsibilities
* Support a gentleman with acquired brain injury in his home and daily life, primarily through social activities; some light housekeeping duties
* Spend your shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their life
* Be flexible and customer-led to meet the needs and preferences of the people we support
* Engage in activities the gentleman enjoys (e.g., swimming, chess, trips to the coast, cinema, cooking, museums) and support his routines
* Participate in planned activities and adapt to varying hours when needed
Qualifications & Requirements
* UK Manual Driving Licence is essential for this role
* Experience or interest in care, social care, or helping others is welcome; training and development opportunities are provided
* Good sense of humour, commitment and consistency to build rapport with the person we support
* Ability to work in a flexible, customer-led manner and to follow care plans
