We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join a successful secondary school in Nottingham. The Role:
We are looking for a passionate Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons at KS3 and KS4 levels. This temporary position offers the opportunity to make a real impact and may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. The ideal teacher will be able to teach general Science, with specialisms in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and intervention where necessary.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and participate in departmental meetings and school events.
* Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity.
* Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Experience: 1–2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school, with strong subject knowledge in Science.
* Qualifications: A relevant Science degree and UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Training: Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with safeguarding practices.
* Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and the ability to inspire young minds.
* Background checks: All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) if not already registered with the Update Service.
