Accounts Assistant - Liverpool (Office-Based / Hybrid Available) - Up to £30,000 per annum - Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly, dynamic team based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive and growing organisation.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function, supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing supplier invoices and managing accounts payable
* Raising customer invoices and supporting credit control activities
* Reconciling bank accounts and supplier statements
* Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
* Processing employee expenses
* Supporting payroll administration where required
* Handling finance-related queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Assisting with audits and compliance activities
* Providing general administrative support to the finance team
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger, or similar finance role
* Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting software
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous but is not essential
