Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will work across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering personalised care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will know residents and their families, help deliver truly personalised care plans, and lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain the highest standards of care. You may assist with activities of daily living, support residents at the end of life, and communicate with families as needed. You will also support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, provide social and recreational activities, and administer medication while maintaining accurate records and strong team relationships.

Salary: £13.50 to £14.10 per hour. Location: Port Talbot. Department: Plas Cwm Carw. Job Family: Care.

Responsibilities

* Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Provide and promote person-centred care, including care planning and support for residents with dementia.
* Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as mobility and meals, and support those at end of life with dignity.
* Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; administer medication as required.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and build strong relationships with residents, families and team members.
* Deliver essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.


Qualifications

* Ideally, a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong record-keeping, time-management and communication skills; positive energy and ability to work well with others.
