We are recruiting an Export Account Manager for a profitable and highly successful privately owned manufacturing organisation. As part of their medium to long term plans, we are supporting them in developing their sales function, specifically their Export business which is thriving and providing excellent opportunities, due to the quality of the product and service of this business.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, we are looking for an Export Account Manager, with the primary responsibility to manage the German market, alongside some other Central European countries. Germany is a key growth market for the business, with an already significant proportion of the businesses export sales, so this represents a key hire for the team.

THE ROLE:

* Responsible for the management and development of distributor relationships in the key growth region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
* Look to achieve, and where possible, exceed annual targets, set as part of an overall team target, by senior management.
* Identify growth sectors in your territory, including trends, competitor activity and key factors for growth, eg price, quality.
* Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and follow up on sales leads. Key focus on driving growth through new accounts.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide regular sales reports.
* Work closely with logistics partners to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
* Work closely with the sales and customer service, to ensure timely delivery of orders, quality of service and resolution of any problems
* Provide monthly business updates according to agreed deadlines to management & stakeholders.

THE CANDIDATE:

* A minimum of 5+ years' experience within areas including, Sales, Account management, Business Development and managing client relationships.
* Experience of identifying, managing and developing distributor relationships.
* Product experience highly desirable, either in a B2B or Consumer markets
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to learn quickly and understand a diverse product range.
* Target-driven and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Fluent in German; additional languages are a plus.
* Office based when not traveling. Frequent travel to key European territories.
