About the Role:
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised support for pupils with PMLD. You will help with learning activities, daily routines, and personal care, ensuring every child receives the attention and encouragement they need to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with PMLD in both educational and daily living activities
* Implement individual learning plans under the guidance of class teachers and therapists
* Assist with feeding, mobility, communication, and personal care needs
* Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
* Record observations and contribute to progress reports
What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting pupils with PMLD, severe learning difficulties, or complex needs
* Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families
* Relevant qualifications or willingness to complete SEND/PMLD training
