This is an exciting opportunity to apply your electrical and mechanical maintenance skills within a well-established FMCG manufacturing facility based near Wigan. You will be integral to maintaining high levels of operational uptime and safety, contributing directly to the company's success. Responsibilities
Join a dynamic team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, where your expertise will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of critical manufacturing electrical systems. As a vital member of the maintenance team, you will:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in automated production equipment to minimise downtime.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to understand and resolve complex issues involving electrical and mechanical components.
Maintain compliance with health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A strong understanding of electrical principles aligned with a solid mechanical awareness.
Experience working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Relevant electrical maintenance qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Electrical or equivalent.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems effectively.
Good communication skills to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team.
