Smart Education is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming Catholic Primary School in Worcester. The school is seeking a caring, proactive, and confident Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
About the Role:
This rewarding position involves supporting a child with Autism during the mornings and working 1:1 in the Nursery during the afternoons. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop social skills, and feel supported in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism in the mornings.
*
Support a nursery child on a 1:1 basis in the afternoons.
*
Use initiative to adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs.
*
Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment aligned with the school’s Catholic ethos.
*
Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
Requirements:
*
Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Supporting Teaching & Learning, Childcare, or equivalent).
*
Experience working with children with Autism and additional needs (essential).
*
Confident, reliable, and able to use initiative in a classroom setting.
*
A nurturing and patient approach, with excellent communication skills.
*
An understanding and respect for the values of a Catholic school community.
