Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings) Location: Northampton and surrounding areas Hours: School hours (flexible) Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible About the Role: We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in Northampton. This role involves delivering tailored, individualised learning sessions either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting during school hours. You will work with students who may require additional support, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, or those outside of mainstream education. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned with the pupil’s needs Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and abilities Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils Track progress and provide regular feedback Requirements: QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years’ UK teaching experience Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles) Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum Ability to manage behaviour and engage learners effectively Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Desirable: Experience with SEND and/or SEMH students PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification What We Offer: Flexible working hours during school time Competitive hourly rates Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning and confidence How to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting young people and making a difference, we would love to hear from you.
