We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and preparation, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and a strong understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while leading and managing the kitchen team effectively.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
* Manage food production processes, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimising waste.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, complying with health and safety regulations.
* Implement food safety practices to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and supervising kitchen staff.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
* A passion for culinary arts and creativity in developing new dishes.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
* Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
