Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, committed to creating meaningful experiences for residents and team members. They are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to join their award-winning team.


Main duties

Your focus will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being, while promoting privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents. Other responsibilities include identifying residents' life histories and preferences, planning and submitting monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging activities and events, and maintaining a safe living and working environment.


Responsibilities

* Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support development of a detailed life story.
* Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
* Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Qualifications

* To be successful in this role, you must have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting, experience organizing activities and events, effective communication skills, and a positive attitude toward older people with a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
