Penetration Tester (CHECK Team Member)
Location: London (Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per week)
Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience) + benefits
NOTE: Candidates must be be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
This is an opportunity to join a high-performing cyber security team delivering offensive security services across enterprise IT and operational technology environments. The role is hands-on, technically challenging, and offers exposure to a wide variety of client systems, from traditional infrastructure to modern cloud and application stacks.
You will play a key role in identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risk, and providing actionable remediation guidance, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct penetration testing across infrastructure, web applications, APIs, and cloud environments
* Deliver clear, concise, and actionable security assessment reports
* Translate technical findings into business risk for non-technical stakeholders
* Support the development of security requirements from high-level functional objectives
* Present findings and recommendations to clients in a professional and impactful manner
* Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Required Skills & Experience
* CHECK Team Member (CTM) certification
* 3+ years’ commercial experience in penetration testing or offensive security
* Broad exposure across multiple testing domains (infrastructure, application, cloud)
* Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top 10)
* Ability to work with limited information and still deliver structured, effective outcomes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience working within consultancy or client-facing environments
* Exposure to operational technology (OT) or industrial control systems
* Additional certifications such as CREST, OSCP, or equivalent
