Resource Manager – Disputes

We are working on behalf of a highly regarded City law firm to recruit an experienced Resource Manager to support its Disputes practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm where resourcing plays a strategic role and works in close partnership with senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role
As Resource Manager for Disputes, you will be responsible for the effective deployment of lawyers across a complex and fast‑moving practice area. You’ll work closely with partners, fee‑earners and HR colleagues to ensure demand is met while maintaining strong utilisation and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing day‑to‑day allocation of lawyers across the Disputes group
* Advising partners on capacity, utilisation and resourcing strategy
* Supporting short and long‑term workforce planning
* Analysing trends and identifying solutions for work complexities
* Acting as a central point of contact for resourcing queries
* Driving continuous improvement in resourcing processes
About You
You are likely to have:
* Experience in resource management / staffing within a law firm
* Exposure to Disputes, Litigation or another complex practice area
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise at partner level
* Excellent organisational skills and sound commercial judgement
* A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach
