Teach Now is seeking a caring and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Colindale, Barnet, where inclusion, wellbeing, and growth are at the forefront of school life.
This fulfilling role involves working 1:1 with pupils with ASD, helping them access learning, develop key skills, and feel confident within the classroom environment. You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team who value collaboration, creativity, and a child-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personalised 1:1 support for pupils with ASD across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual needs
• Implement tailored communication and behaviour strategies
• Encourage independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
• Contribute to a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with children with ASD (essential)
• Empathy, consistency, and excellent communication skills
• A proactive attitude and ability to build strong rapport with pupils
• Experience within primary settings is highly desirable
