Detailed oriented testing of business processes to evaluate and validate the functionality of meters.
Execution of predefined test plans, identifying and recording defects and outputs.
Generation of test exit reports in defined format, clearly identifying defects with associated evidence.
Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to replicate issues.
Proactive communication of progress and blockers to stakeholders.
Execution of processes to set up and tear down tests on existing accounts.
Provide on-site lab support for remote testing, including coordinating the physical installation of equipment, configuring meter sets through pressing buttons, reading outputs, and communicating this to remote testers.
Maintain testing equipment to ensure a consistent, clean, and organized testing environment.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
Testing experience is desirable but good knowledge of energy offerings and consumer electronic products.
Confident presentation and communication skills with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work unsupervised, manage own agenda, be a self-starter, and a respected professional.
Tenacious, resilient, proactive, and resourceful approach to issue and risk resolution and contingency planning.
Approach based on continuous improvement and learning environment.
Proven ability to apply technological solutions to solve problems and to operate as part of a specialist team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of energy and metering technology (desirable).
Smart Metering background and DCC Service Requests, including:
* DCC Self Service Interface
* Waypoint
Experience required:
- 10+ years of total IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience in UK Smart Meter Testing.
