Shape the Future of the UK's Electrical InfrastructureHays are working with a major Tier 1 contractor delivering high‑profile projects across the UK's electrical transmission network. Due to continued growth within their national frameworks, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of M&E projects across the South West and South Wales region.This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven Project Manager with strong substation or transmission experience to take ownership of complex works, lead multidisciplinary teams, and deliver projects that genuinely make an impact.What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the successful end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of M&E construction projects
* Driving exceptional health, safety and environmental performance across all phases
* Managing time, cost and quality outcomes while ensuring contractual compliance
* Working closely with planning teams to develop and monitor programme performance
* Bringing together Construction, Commercial, Engineering and Design teams under a cohesive project ethos.
* Leading risk management strategies and ensuring timely resolution of technical and contractual matters
* Contributing to new tender bids and supporting commercial reporting (including monthly CVRs)
* Ensuring all project targets and scorecard measures are met or exceeded
What We're Looking For
* Experience delivering National Grid substation or electrical transmission projects
* Proven leadership on design & build projects within the utilities or infrastructure sector.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with clients and suppliers
* Construction/engineering qualification or equivalent experience
* Project Management accreditation (APM, PMP or similar) desirable
* Excellent understanding of NEC contracts
* Strong knowledge of HSWA, CDM, EAWR and other key regulations
* Commercially astute with solid risk and opportunity management
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
