Our client, a large national business based in Nottingham, is recruiting a senior Payroll Clerk for a 12 month fixed term contract initially. This role could be fully remote, ideally you would be able to attend the Nottingham office occasionally.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a nationally recognised large company.\n\nDescription\n\nSupporting the day-to-day activities, ensuring all daily tasks have been completed by the administrator in line with current legislation and deadlines\nPreparing BACS & 3rd Party reconciliation through to management sign off\nTransmitting the monthly payrolls via the BACS system\nEnsuring all payroll processes and procedures are accurately documented, updated regularly\nReviewing payroll processes are in line with Best Practice\nMaintaining a working knowledge of current statutory and legislative compliance, keeping abreast of all changes through publications, websites, and seminars.\nHandling complex payroll queries\nReviewing, proposing, and implementing new ideas and processes that could add value and improve the current way of working\nProviding and maintaining regular data/statistics/reports\nDeveloping and maintaining a good working knowledge of Zellis products and services\nOversee the overpayments process\nHMRC reconciliation through to payment\nSupporting Senior Leaders with adhoc requests and projects\nMentor, coach and develop payroll administrators\nAbsence management of the team\nConduct 1-2-1 and annual appraisals\nRegular business, process, and legislation updates with the team \n\nProfile\n\nThe successful candidate will be from a payroll background, be based anywhere in the UK, be able to start ASAP and commit to a 12 month contract. Ideally you would have used SAP Success Factor, Resource Link, and/or Workday.\n\nJob Offer\n\nA basic salary of around £40,000\n\nthe opportunity to work mostly from home \n\nFlexible working hours, part time considered
