We are looking for a temp to perm Van Driver to start immediately for our client based in Dunstable. This role is long distance driving on either a luton van or a low loader van.
Start Times:
Monday to Friday 07:00AM
As a Van Driver you must:
1. Have Category B License
2. Minimum 2 years experience as a Van Driver due to client insurance purposes
3. Have no more than 6 points on your licence
4. Knowledge of strapping down the load
5. Experience driving luton vans
6. Have a Sat Nav
7. Have Safety Boots & Hi Vis
Van Driver responsibilities include:
8. Make deliveries of up to 14 cylinders through long distance driving. Some routes cover Skegness, Brighton, Portsmouth and London
9. Follow the client’s routing system
10. Good Communication with the depot and customers whilst out on deliveries
11. Knowledge of bridge heights
12. Be quick on your feet
The successful Van Driver can expect:
13. Agency pay for the first 12 weeks (60 shifts) – £13.68 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
14. The successful candidate will then go on a full time contract with client of 40 hours per week plus overtime after 40 hours (salary £26,028.20 )
15. 24 days annual leave plus bank holiday (3 days must be taken between Christmas and New Year)
