About the role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team. You will be able to run a smooth breakfast service, while ensuring that a consistent level of quality is delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities
* Follow HACCP.
* Follow the recipes and duly consult with the Executive head chef before introducing any changes.
* Ensure that breakfast buffet is sufficiently stocked and thoroughly cleaned.
* Undertake the preparation of breakfast food specials as and when necessary and following approval of the chef in charge.
* Maintain stock and wastage control. Ensure that unfit food items are duly disposed in accordance with the wastage policy.
* Ensure that all food is cooked in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and that items are not stored for longer than stated.
* Checking and maintaining storage areas, following the correct storage protocol.
* Quality control of all food items delivered.
* Observe and meticulously follow regulations on food storage, hygiene and temperature control.
* Be responsible for the day-to-day ordering of food, in line with the hotel purchasing guidelines in the absence of the Executive Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef.
Salary & benefits
Permanent Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
£33,793.97 pa (£17.33 per hour)
Includes attractive pension scheme, meals on Duty, Service Charge, 28 days holiday including bank holidays and Team Member Discount travel program in Danubius hotels.
Shifts are based on 5 of 7 days on a shift pattern of early, late and weekends.
Candidate requirements
Essential:
Have a valid Level2 Food Safety Certificate.
Have achieved a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or similar.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication skills.
Great team working skills.
Under the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, evidence of eligibility to work and live in the UK will be required should you be invited to attend an interview.
