Location:
Brook House - Chorley PR6 7EH & South Grove House - Fullwood PR2 9RY

Service Type
: Mental Health Supported Living & Autism & Mental Health Residential Care Home

Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm, with flexibility to support service needs.

Salary:
£31,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience and remit.

Active Pathways are seeking a
Deputy Manager
to join our Brook House and South Grove teams in Chorley and Preston following internal progression. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a varied and rewarding role, supporting people to live as independently as possible, achieve their goals, and improve their quality of life.

What You Will Be Doing
As Deputy Manager, you will:

* Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring and coaching to staff teams.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, contractual requirements, and Active Pathways' governance structure.
* Act as Safeguarding Lead and deputise for the Service Manager when required.
* Drive high-quality, person-centred care through effective planning, clinical oversight, and recovery-focused interventions.
* Work with external agencies, commissioners and MDT members to ensure positive outcomes for the people we support.
* Support the Service Manager with KPIs, audits, action plans and regulatory reporting.
* Promote a positive and inclusive culture, ensuring best practice in safeguarding, whistleblowing and staff wellbeing.

About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:

* Experience working in health and social care with people with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.
* At least three years' leadership and management experience at a deputy level (or above) within a health or social care setting.
* Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* A sound understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding processes, and current legislation including the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* The resilience, creativity, and values-based leadership style needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Essential qualifications:
Educated to NVQ level (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care. A full driving licence is also required.

Desirable:
Leadership/management qualification, budget management experience.

About The Services
Brook House
is a 13-bed supported living service providing person-centred support for individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, and/or autism. With 24-hour staffing and a passionate multi-disciplinary team, Brook House helps residents build independence and work towards recovery.

South Grove House
provides tailored residential care for men aged 18+ with autism, mental health conditions, and complex needs. The service supports individuals transitioning from hospital or stepping up from other settings, empowering them to build skills and confidence in a structured and supportive environment.
