Join Severn Trent’s Water Treatment team as a Maintenance Electrical Technician in Frankley covering the surrounding Birmingham area.
You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical and automation assets, ensuring treatment plants and water distribution processes run efficiently while maintaining safety and quality.
You will support the team to meet local and company‑wide targets for quality, continuous supply, and cost control.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain industrial electrical equipment, including fault finding, installation and routine maintenance.
* Variable Speed Drives.
* Installation and disconnection of 415 V, 240 V and 110 V motors.
* Support the company’s drive to improve safety standards.
* Ensure all activities are performed safely and diligently, providing feedback on any issues before, during and after work.
* Opportunity to train as an electrical Senior Authorised Person, LV (SAP).
* Willingness to train for a multiskilled instrument technician if not already qualified.
* Experience with PLCs and ladder logic is advantageous.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical or related subject.
* Certification to the 18th Edition or equivalent.
* Knowledge of C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing (advantageous).
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to undergo additional technical training and become LV SAP.
