Where You’ll Do It
We are a solo home based in the Rochdale area, close to the town centre with plenty of parks and nature walks for fresh air throughout the day. The home comprises a living room, dining room, kitchen and downstairs toilet/shower on the ground floor. Three bedrooms upstairs: one office/ staff sleep room, one separate staff sleep room and one young person’s bedroom; a large bathroom on the second floor primarily used by the young person. A large back garden with a raised concrete patio area for eating out in summer. Opposite the home is a large field widely used by local children to play sports on, and the young person has opportunities to play out and integrate with neighbouring children. The home houses one young person at a time. The team works predominantly on a 2:1 basis and uses the PACE model as well as therapeutic parenting training provided to support the young person. Outings are the main focus of the home; staff and young people spend a lot of time outside on activities. Communication is good, care and nurture are demonstrated towards the young person, and regular family time is supported.
