Admin Officer - Birmingham
Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (some flexibility required)
£12.36 per hour, rising to £12.53 after 12 weeks
Temporary assignment - currently approved until March 2026
Fully onsite | Central Birmingham (B4 6DS)
Are you organised, reliable, and looking to gain experience in a fast-paced public sector environment? We're currently recruiting for an Admin Officer (AO) to join a well-established government department based in the heart of Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your administrative and customer service skills while supporting essential judicial processes.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Preparing court, tribunal, and hearing documents
2. Updating records and managing case files using internal systems
3. Handling incoming and outgoing post
4. Supporting court proceedings as a clerk
5. Communicating professionally with internal teams and external contacts
6. Managing telephone enquiries
7. Carrying out general administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
What We're Looking For:
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills
9. Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
10. A flexible and proactive approach to work
11. High attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently
12. Willingness to learn and support a busy team
Additional Information:
13. A DBS check and three years of references are required for this role (this would be completed if you are offered)
