This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable school-based experience while supporting pupils with additional needs and social, emotional, and behavioural development. The Role In this Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role, you will support pupils across the primary age range through a combination of classroom support, targeted interventions, and pastoral assistance. You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and support staff to help pupils access learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment. You may work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, or communication needs, supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing. The role will involve helping pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, build positive relationships, and engage successfully in learning activities. You will also support teaching and learning within the classroom, assist with behaviour management strategies, and help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all pupils. The school is looking for a psychology graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing. This role is offered on a full-time ongoing contract basis with either an immediate or September start.
