Hours
40 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday, 7am–4pm
Friday, 7am–1pm
We’re seeking a proactive and skilled Fit Out Operative to assist with the installation of mechanical systems and components on site. This position involves handling, positioning, and installing mechanical infrastructure to a high standard while maintaining strict adherence to site safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Install mechanical components including pipework, brackets, supports, and ducting
Operate FLT, scissor lift, and cherry picker to transport and install materials
Interpret mechanical drawings and layout plans
Assist with assembly and alignment of mechanical systems and equipment
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe lifting and working at heightRequirements
Previous welding experience
Proven background in mechanical installation or utilities work
Valid licenses/certifications for FLT, scissor lift, and cherry picker
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Strong understanding of manual handling and safe lifting
Comfortable working at height and in physically demanding environments
Good communication and teamwork skills
