Fundraiser
Salary band: G - £34,350 (pro rata)
Contract: Initially six months for 3 days/week.
(Extension and potential increased responsibilities and hours subject to funds raised.)
Location: Home-based.
Must be available for regular meetings in our mainland office in Glasgow.
The Iona Community is seeking an inspiring Fundraiser to help secure and grow our financial sustainability as we live out our vision of justice, peace, and renewal of worship around the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to build strong relationships with funders and donors, grow a culture of giving, and lead a new Fundraising Team to support our diverse work — from peace-making and social justice to youth and environmental projects, and the care of our historic island properties. If you’re self-motivated, a great communicator, and share our values, we’d love you to join us in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop strategies for new funding sources.
Maintain a current list of fundraising projects.
Prepare and submit funding applications and manage follow-up.
Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors.
Develop fundraising publicity materials with the Communications team.
Keep accurate, up-to-date records of fundraising activities.
Maintain professional fundraising best practice.
