Overview
An established contractor is seeking a skilled and qualified Mobile Electrician to carry out electrical upgrades, testing, repairs, and full property rewires across void and mixed-tenure properties within Hertfordshire and parts of North London. The role will primarily cover Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield, supporting kitchen & bathroom upgrades and full electrical refurbishment works.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out full electrical upgrades and rewires in local authority properties.
2. Support kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, completing all associated electrical works.
3. Perform electrical installations to current regulations and safety standards.
4. Conduct testing, inspection, and certification in accordance with 2391 or equivalent requirements.
5. Diagnose electrical faults and complete remedial repairs.
6. Ensure all work is completed within SLA targets and to a high-quality standard.
7. Maintain accurate documentation, certificates, and reports using company systems.
8. Liaise professionally with tenants, supervisors, and office staff.
9. Work independently across multiple sites in a mobile capacity.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
10. City & Guilds electrical qualifications (or equivalent).
11. 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent qualification).
12. 18th Edition wiring regulations.
13. Strong experience working in domestic or social housing environments.
14. Competent in full rewires, upgrades, and testing.
15. Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
16. Previous experience in void property works.
17. Experience in local authority or housing association settings.
18. Strong customer service and communication skills.
