We are seeking an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer & Authorised Person to provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within a designated region. The role involves carrying out electrical fault finding, repairs, planned maintenance and installation works, with a strong focus on delivering a reliable, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical bias fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation works across client sites.
* Complete electrical PPM, proactive and reactive tasks issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
* Carry out wider building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical-related tasks.
* Provide callout response in line with the client callout rota requirements.
* Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
* Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
* Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed company standards.
* Represent the company professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
* Significant previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
* Experience working within facilities management or building services in commercial properties.
* One of the following electrical qualifications: NVQ 2356 / 2357 and NVQ 2356 AM2, or City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM1 and AM2, or City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
* Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
* City & Guilds 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
* JIB accreditation.
* IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
Authorised Person (AP) Information
City & Guilds 2391 (required to become the Authorised Person). £2,000 Authorised Person allowance payable once AP status is achieved. AP qualification typically achieved within approximately 3 months. AP duties to be carried out across the whole of East Anglia.
